Imagination, feelings and ideas are the forces at work when I paint. Wherever I am, a sketchbook and pen are always handy. I draw anything that appeals to me. When I choose a drawing to elaborate into a painting, I work to capture the essence with minimal detail; the rest is improv. Watercolor is my primary medium. It is free flowing and unpredictable. I enjoy working with the surprises. Experimentation with technique and style keeps me fresh and excited about my work.
